About The Position

Milwaukee Valve Company is hiring a CNC Operator Trainee for Department 055 at its Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin team. During an approximate 90-day training period, the trainee learns to safely operate CNC machines, maintain operations during production runs, read and interpret blueprint specifications, and inspect machined parts using general measuring instruments. Prior machining experience is not required. After successfully completing training, personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required. Other duties may be assigned. Offers are contingent on successfully completing the required drug screen and physical capabilities tests.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read and interpret safety policies and rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding, thoroughly carry out instructions, and deal effectively with routine problems and situations.
• Basic math ability, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to successfully complete the required drug screen and physical capabilities tests.
• After successful completion of the training period, personal hand tools and measuring instruments are required.

Responsibilities

• Learn the safe operation of CNC machines.
• Learn how to maintain operations during production runs.
• Develop general knowledge and ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprint specifications.
• Learn to inspect machined parts using general measuring instruments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
