This position involves the operation of a CNC Spin forming machine, forming metal around Rubber Packing Seals. Operators will perform product inspections and precise measurements using a multitude of different measuring devices from Calipers to PI Tape. Adjusting programs and tools is necessary to meet the required customer specifications. There are three third shift positions open. Training may occur on the first or second shift. A shift premium is offered for second and third shift. This is a union position. This position will report to the Shift Supervisor.

• High School diploma/GED equivalent preferred; specialized training or certification a plus
• Must be able to read, understand, and communicate in the common language (English)
• Basic Computer and Math skills required.
• Constant movement and standing for the duration of the shift.
• Able to sit, walk, bend, reach & pull, lift or carry up to 40 lbs.
• Able to use repetitive motion in hands, arms, and wrists.
• Exposure to factory work environment.
• Good visual and hearing acuity.

• CNC knowledge and/or machining experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Spin Former machine safely, accurately, and efficiently using Work Instructions.
• Load programs on machine and make necessary adjustments.
• Read, understand and follow job specific Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Measure accurately using measurement tools (PI Tape and Calipers).
• Wear required PPE: hearing protection, safety glasses, and steel toe shoes. Other areas may also have job-related PPE such as gloves and/or sleeves and will be provided.
• Maintain proper daily maintenance and housekeeping of machines using ‘Five S’ Lean concepts - sort, set in order, shine, standardize.
• Set up A-Lips, Teflon top and bottom and operation of Double cups.
• Setup and spinning of Wear Sleeves Small and Large diameters.
• Unloading of new received metals from Pallets to blank metal shelving.
• Product tracking and completion of productivity reports.
