About The Position

APC Components is a well-established manufacturer with over 25 years of experience in producing its own-brand products. We are seeking a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Operator/Machinist to join our team at our modern, fully air-conditioned facility in Green Bay, WI. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC milling machines and lathes to ensure high-quality production. You will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, perform inspections, manage tooling, and collaborate with various teams to drive continuous improvement. Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of solid hands-on experience in CNC machining and setup with mills and lathes.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and well-versed in common part inspection practices.
  • Strong familiarity with precision measuring instruments and inspection processes.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Thrives in a team environment, exhibits a self-motivated and positive attitude, and brings energy to the role.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or aptitude with 5-axis machining or multi-spindle lathes is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling machines and lathes, ensuring consistent, high-quality output.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications for accurate setup and machining.
  • Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections using standard measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges), to maintain high tolerance and quality standards.
  • Change tooling, load programs, adjust feeds, speeds, and offsets, and troubleshoot any setup or machining discrepancies.
  • Uphold clean, organized, and safe workstations adhering to 5S and company safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Engineering, Quality, and Production to continually optimize setups and machining efficiency.
