Requirements

Machining fundamentals and basic operation skills.
Shop arithmetic.
Print reading and measuring procedures.
Ability to work individually or as part of a team.
Ability to follow direction, both written and verbal.
Enthusiastic, cooperative and positive behavior.
Currently or Previously enrolled in CNC programming/CNC Production courses.

Nice To Haves

Machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Responsibilities

Produces machined parts by operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, performing a standard series of progressive machining operations to close and exacting tolerances.
Changes tools and assists with or performs standard set-ups.
Following detailed instructions, operates CNC and other machines to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are proved and setups made and maintained by others.
Drilling, boring, milling, turning and balancing, as required.
Working from detailed process instructions.
Using precision measuring instruments or limit gauges to check machine positioning.
Inspecting your own work for quality.
Meeting rate for each part, while maintaining quality.
Maintaining a clean work environment.
Taking responsibility for equipment care and basic maintenance.
Assisting other operators as needed.
Recognizing own capabilities and taking initiative to continually improve.
Performing other duties as assigned.
