Perform full setup and operation of CNC machines, including tooling, fixturing, offsets, and program adjustments. Read and interpret complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T specifications. Inspect parts using advanced measurement tools (micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, CMM exposure a plus). Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, dimensional deviations, vibration, and surface finish defects. Collaborate with programmers or engineers on process improvements and manufacturability solutions. Train and mentor CNC Operator I personnel. Maintain accurate production and quality records. Perform preventive maintenance and ensure machines are kept in optimal working condition. May work/train in other departments where needed. Other duties as assigned/necessary.
