About The Position

The CNC Operator I supports aerospace production by safely operating CNC machines using released programs and work instructions. This role focuses on execution, inspection, and adherence to standard work in a controlled production environment. This role involves working closely with engineers, production technicians, and operations teams to support multiple programs and value streams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0–1 year of manufacturing or machine operation experience
  • Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload parts, fixtures, and materials into CNC machines
  • Run approved CNC programs without modification
  • Perform basic in-process inspections using hand tools (calipers, gauges)
  • Monitor machine operation and cycle times
  • Identify and report machine faults, tool wear, or quality concerns
  • Maintain clean, FOD-free work areas
  • Follow all safety, PPE, ESD, and quality requirements
  • Complete production documentation accurately
