About The Position

TraffiCalm is seeking a CNC Operator to produce machined parts for its traffic safety products. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines while maintaining quality and safety standards, equipment, and supplies. The operator follows scheduled work orders and priorities, verifies machine settings and parts, monitors machining operations, troubleshoots malfunctions, and works with production staff and support personnel in a team environment.

Requirements

• Ability to follow instructions from a team lead regarding scheduled work orders and priorities.
• Ability to work in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
• Maintain professionalism and strict professional ethics, including the quality of work.
• Communicate clearly, verbally and in writing, with production staff, leads, management, and technical personnel.
• Be humble, passionate about the job, and treat others with respect.
• High school diploma, or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education providing comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities.
• Ability to stand continuously and lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and earplugs.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in traffic safety, automotive product design, or relevant industries.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine.
• Maintain quality and safety standards, equipment, and supplies.
• Program and adjust the machine.
• Load the feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces.
• Maintain specifications by observing machining operations, taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, and replacing worn tools.
• Follow quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Maintain safe operations by following safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Work positively with staff and support personnel at all levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
