About The Position

The CNC Operator I operates and adjusts semi-automatic numerically controlled machine tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations where programs are provided, and setups are often made and maintained by others. This role is part of a vertical-manufacturing facility that produces top-quality, complex aluminum and zinc die castings. The company is 100% employee-owned and located near Minneapolis, MN, with over 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Kurt Die Casting features 20 CNC machining centers and 15 die casting machines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and routings

Responsibilities

  • Adjusts and operates semi-automatic CNC machines with minimum supervision
  • Spot-checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometers and precision dial gauges.
