About The Position

The CNC Operator I is responsible for continually learning how to operate machinery in CNC. This role involves learning to operate CNC machines with little assistance, working with complex blueprints and engineering drawings, making required adjustments to machinery, and inspecting finished products. After proper training, the operator will be expected to operate CNC machines without supervision. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience using hand and power tools
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must meet ATF requirements for firearm possession

  • Willingness to learn to run CNC Horizontal and/or Vertical machines, and basic CNC machining

Responsibilities

  • Learn to Operate CNC Machines with little assistance
  • Learn how to work with complex blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, job orders, tooling instructions, and standard charts
  • Learn how to make required adjustments to machinery to compensate for material tooling, machine, or program conditions
  • Learn to make tool offsets with no assistance
  • Learn to inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Operate CNC machines without supervision after receiving the proper training
  • Other duties as assigned
