About The Position

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machinist for our 1st shift operations. This role involves operating CNC multi-axis milling machines, setting up jobs, and working with challenging materials. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Exceptional mechanical ability
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues
  • Ability to read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets
  • Proficient in mathematics and able to use a calculator
  • Ability to use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program
  • Ability to load part onto a fixture
  • Ability to load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine
  • Ability to read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine
  • Ability to read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers
  • Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge
  • Ability to work within tight tolerances such as thousandths

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience operating CNC multi-axis Milling machine
  • Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment
  • Familiarity with operation of Right-Angle Heads
  • Good attitude and a willingness to learn a new trade or skill

Responsibilities

  • Run 3, 4 and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines
  • Run multiple machines simultaneously where possible/feasible
  • Work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium and Stainless Steel
  • Read English and interpret symbols on operation sheets
  • Use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program
  • Load part onto a fixture
  • Load parts and fixtures onto hoists and operate hoist to load part onto machine
  • Read and interpret CNC Programs at the machine
  • Read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part
  • Use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers
  • Operate Right-Angle Heads
  • Work within tight tolerances such as thousandths
