About The Position

Velosity CMD is hiring an experienced CNC Mill Turn Machinist on 1st shift to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. The CNC Mill Turn Machinist operates and programs computer-controlled machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts. The typical pay range for this role is $28.50 - $42.75 per hour. This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary for positions within this job grade, based on our market-based pay structures. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal equity, business needs, and local market conditions. While the full range is shared for transparency, offers are rarely made at the minimum or maximum of the range. This position will report to the Operations Manager, and has no direct reports. The schedule is flexible, with shift start times between 4:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m., allowing employees to get out early on Fridays. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED-General Studies
Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
Previous experience operating CNC lathes and other CNC machinery.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings and using precision measuring tools.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Must be a U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder) or foreign national granted refugee or asylee status due to ITAR regulations.

Certificate-Machine Trades or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

Set up and operate CNC lathes to perform various machining operations.
Write and test CNC programs to ensure machines produce parts to specifications.
Perform first article inspections and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quality standards.
Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production output, and any issues encountered.
