About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an experienced CNC Mill-Turn Machinist/Programmer to join their manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who prefers challenging prototype and low-volume work over repetitive production. The role involves using engineering drawings and CAD models to program, set up, prove out, and machine complex precision parts on modern CNC equipment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Associate Degree, or 2 years of formal technical training or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years CAM programming experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
  • Ability to read drawings, GD&T, and CAD models
  • Ability to independently program, set up, and prove out CNC equipment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • DMG Mori Mill-Turn experience strongly preferred
  • Haas and Mazak experience is a plus
  • AS9100 experience preferred
  • Candidates who have completed OSHA 10-Hour Training Course for General Industry prior to employment are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate DMG Mori Mill-Turn machining centers
  • Program with Mastercam
  • Develop machining strategies, tooling, workholding, feeds, and speeds
  • Machine complex prototype and low-volume parts
  • Troubleshoot programs, setups, tooling, and machining processes
  • Work independently from drawing/model through finished part
