About The Position

This role involves setting up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes. The operator will be responsible for various tasks including using precision tools, adhering to safety protocols, controlling machine functions, performing basic maintenance, and managing production schedules.

Requirements

• Ability to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and talk or hear.
• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Ability to occasionally sit.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operate CNC Mill and Lathes
• Use calipers, alan wrenches, and blueprints
• Use proper safety procedures in everyday operation
• Control on panel-start/ stop/ emergency stops
• Turn machine and coolant on and off
• Load, unload, rinse, and stack steel without damage
• Read schedules and work orders
• Change programs, controls, CNC codes and dies
• Retrieve parts
• Perform light machine maintenance
