Avalign is seeking an experienced Mill Machinist on 3rd shift at our Warsaw, IN location.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth micrometers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and work operations sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed
  • Understanding of CNC Milling machines and controls
  • Strong understanding of computers.
  • Self-starter and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Perform all set-up and operational functions of a 3/4/5 axis CNC milling center to produce parts in accordance with blueprint specifications and work instructions.
  • Operates and maintain CNC Milling machines, finish machines, hand tools, fixtures and jigs and runs production in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Performs setup for parts according to blueprints and guidelines. Make machine adjustments, tool changes, etc. as required
  • Interface with Visual Labor Entry system and monitor work orders
  • Uses inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
  • Burr removal on all parts where required
  • Read and Interpret blueprints, inspection check-sheets, and instructions.
  • Uses inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts as outlined by AQL and work instructions.
  • Maintains and ensures accurate counts on completed parts and scrapped parts; completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company database.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures.
  • Any and all other duties as assigned.
