The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU APL) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join their team. This role is crucial in manufacturing next-generation spacecraft, undersea hardware, shipboard test systems, and communication components. The machinist will be part of a multi-disciplinary fabrication team supporting programs from R&D prototypes to flight hardware that meet AS9100 standards. This position offers opportunities to work with 3-axis and/or multi-axis CNC milling machines and routers, explore sophisticated programming, fabricate complex hardware, and work with a wide range of materials including composites, aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, refractory metals, and experimental alloys. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime.
