About The Position

We are looking for a CNC Mill Machinist to join our Avalign Integrated Medical Solutions team in Mentor, OH on a 1st shift schedule. The CNC Mill Machinist operates conventional, special purposes, and numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate parts according to customer specification.

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma
• 1 year of relevant experience operating a CNC machine
• 3 Pan System understanding
• Epicor login and use
• Full understanding of the machine matrix
• Understanding and use of setup sheets
• Understanding of the line clearance process
• Basic blueprint reading

Responsibilities

• Independently perform daily machine preventative maintenance (P.M.’s) activities
• Accurately and consistently document all performed tasks on appropriate records (First Piece Inspection log, work orders, maintenance logs, etc.)
• Inspect documents for previously completed operation sign off and verify part counts before beginning any manufacturing operation
• Follow established protocol to maintain ID & traceability of product and documentation
• Independently operate CNC machines as assigned
• Train on the different tool changes, settings, changeovers, and size changes
• Frequently use handheld measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to inspect machined parts
• Perform offsets on machine tooling
