Requirements

  • Vocational or certificate training preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing: minimum 1 year; 2+ years preferred.
  • Solid reading comprehension of work instructions and job travelers.
  • Team-oriented communicator with strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Foundational knowledge of CNC maintenance, setup, and operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort with the metric system and basic measurement tools (preferred).
  • Familiarity with quality systems (preferred) and moderate computer proficiency.
  • Introductory G-code knowledge (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, start, and verify production runs; perform first-article checks and line clearance.
  • Set up CNC equipment for metals: install, change, and offset tools; complete fast, accurate changeovers.
  • Troubleshoot CNC machines and related equipment; make limited program/offset adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct minor repairs and coordinate escalations to the manager when issues arise.
  • Handle and inspect materials; operate CNC machines to standard cycle times and quality targets.
  • Capture production and quality results in the system; ensure traceability and accurate reporting.
  • Inspect parts and record results in the quality system; work to IATF 16949 requirements.
  • Follow Internal Quality Issues (IQI) procedures and practice First-In, First-Out (FIFO).
  • Support teammates on complex tasks and contribute to a strong safety culture and 5S workplace.
  • Other duties as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.
