About The Position

To setup and operate Mitsubishi Sheet Laser, Trumpf 2510 Laser, Trumpf Tube Laser, and Trumpf CNC Combo machines. Monday - Thursday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm (32 - 40 hour weeks).

Requirements

  • High School Degree Preferred or 5 years relative experience
  • Must have at least 5 years’ experience of CNC Lasers and/or Punches preferable Trumpf Machines and controls, programs and trouble shooting ability.
  • Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as needed.
  • Must be physically capable of standing/bending/stooping/squeezing 8+ hour shift(s)
  • Must be able to lift, carry and/or move up to 30 pounds on a given day, without assistance. Anything above 30 lbs. requires a team lift.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull material and equipment as needed.
  • Must be able to wear required safety equipment including gloves and glasses.

Responsibilities

  • Employee must be able to use measuring equipment (micrometer, caliper, tape measurer).
  • Should be familiar with Punch Control and Windows Operating System.
  • Must have blueprint reading experience.
  • Must be safety conscious and knowledgeable of: All machine safety areas, buttons, warning list barriers, overhead mirrors, and emergency switches, and handling and disposal of laser dust.
  • Should have a basic understanding of mathematics.
  • A general knowledge of programming language "G" code and hands on ability to service and maintain the machine.
  • Tool set up
  • Clean table and general area
  • Change and check all lubricants and daily PMS.
  • Understand material characteristics and gages (cold rolled steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
  • Hands on ability to service the machines
  • Clean and replace lens, nozzles and ceramics located in the head.
  • A general knowledge of gases and the process of installation.
  • Should have general knowledge of electrical components and schematics.
  • Some CNC programming ability.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Aware of the Quality & Environmental Policies & Objectives and understand your role & contribution towards these goals and how activities in your area contribute towards these objectives.
  • QMS & EMS Master List - aware where to find documented policies, procedures & instructions
  • Aware of Significant Environmental Aspects & Impacts (Environmental MGT System)
  • Understand Environmental Compliance obligations & implications for non-complying
  • Proper MGT & handling of Hazardous & non-hazardous Waste, including recycling.
  • Participate & support Peerless Emergency Preparedness & response plan.
  • Contribute toward EMS & QMS initiatives & improvements to support QMS & EMS Goals & Objectives.
