The CNC Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods to enhance safety, reduce scrap, improve first pass yields and throughput, and lower costs. This role involves researching and developing new cutting technology and tooling approaches, both internally and with supply chain support. The engineer will specify and design new tooling or tooling improvements necessary for producing quality parts, and troubleshoot CNC department programs and processes to resolve manufacturing throughput and quality issues. Additionally, the position requires developing and maintaining documentation, including NC and CNC programs and operational drawings, to guide operators. The engineer will identify and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring problems and maintain quality, delivery schedules, and product cost. A key aspect of the role is identifying design for manufacturability features on product designs to ensure the lowest product cost and implementing continuous improvements in manufacturing processes to reduce cost and lead-time, and/or improve quality.
