Orbitform is seeking a CNC/Manual Machinist who has a knack for turning raw metal into precision parts. In this role, you will own your area, program your own jobs, and take pride in producing parts for machines that customers depend on. Requirements

Ability to work independently, manage your own area, troubleshoot issues, and follow Orbitform procedures.
Possession of a Journeyman Card, Technical Certificate, or 5+ years of on-the-job training.
Comfortable working in a hands-on shop environment with noise, coolant, and temperature fluctuations.
Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Use standard gaging equipment and read prints.
Own assigned area, including training other machinists, quality control, and managing personal work backlog.
Program parts from scratch using MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, or similar, and machine products completely.
Drive quality control, make adjustments to meet specifications, and reject non-conforming parts.
Communicate Work-In-Progress (WIP) timing to engineering, spares, or other departments as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and assist area leaders in scheduling manufacturing runs.
File and store proven programs, special tooling, fixtures, and tooling sheets for future use.
Move between CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, Manual, and Tool Cell areas, demonstrating versatility.
Collaborate with vendors for continuous improvement, setup time reduction, and machining speed enhancement.
