About The Position

Join one of the cleanest, climate-controlled machine shops in Michigan and work with industry-leading equipment. Machinists at Moeller Precision Tool produce high-precision tooling components for the manufacturing industries of automotive, appliance, pharmaceutical, and much more. We provide job-specific training, but candidates should have at least two years of machining experience. The schedule is for the Night Shift: 5:30 PM – 4:00 AM (Mon–Fri), with typical hours of 45–50 per week. Overtime is required, potentially up to ~56 hours/week, and up to 14 mandatory Saturdays per year (12 PM – 6 PM).

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC or manual machines
• Blueprint reading skills
• Knowledge and understanding of quality measurement tools (i.e. caliper, micrometer, indicator, etc.)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and shop math skills.
• High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Experience machining tool steel
• Experience working with Mazatrol or Fanuc controls

Responsibilities

• Perform full CNC machine setups (tooling, offsets, fixturing)
• Machine tool steel components to tight tolerances
• Read and interpret detailed blueprints
• Set speeds, feeds, and tolerances
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality standards
