CNC Maintenance Technician
About The Position
The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining CNC machines according to engineering drawings, understanding dimensions related to repeatability, equipment capabilities, tooling, and scaled-up production. This role involves dialogue with external vendors to ensure component and equipment availability for continuous production. The technician will also participate in Continuous Improvement projects, collaborate with other departments, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Key duties include performing routine maintenance and repairs on CNC machines and automated saws, diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and conducting preventive maintenance for optimal machine performance. Collaboration with the production team to minimize downtime and improve efficiency, maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, and providing technical support and training to operators are also essential aspects of this position.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience working with CNC machines and/or automated saws.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and software systems
