The CNC Maintenance Technician Lead is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC equipment. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with diagnostic tools. The lead technician will also oversee daily work orders, lead shift huddles, coach and train other technicians, and ensure accurate use of the CMMS. Responsibilities include inspecting and testing machinery, performing both emergency and scheduled repairs, reading equipment manuals, detecting faulty operations, dismantling defective machinery, cleaning and lubricating parts, and installing/repairing electrical apparatus. The role also involves repairing manufacturing equipment and plant facilities, working with vendors for parts, moving machinery, prioritizing repairs, training operators in preventative maintenance, maintaining cleanliness, rotating on-call duties, troubleshooting machinery issues, changing light fixtures, installing air conditioning units, and working with pipe systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment. Additionally, the technician will repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment, install/program automated machinery, and set up machine tools for repairs or fabrication.
