Requirements

Strong troubleshooting skills
Excellent attendance
Ability to identify non-conforming parts
Ability to make your own tools (example: chuck jaws or fixtures), specific to your jobs
Ability to form cooperative relations with your supervisor
Ability to consistently work to tight tolerances
Ability to lift 50 lbs
Ability to meet productivity requirements
Ability to communicate and counsel other operators in the department
Ability to set up and run horizontal and/or VTL lathes

Responsibilities

Set up, program, and operate CNC machines with expert precision, ensuring components meet technical specifications.
Configure machines, load materials, and oversee machining processes.
Modify programs for optimal performance.
Inspect finished parts with micrometers and calipers.
Troubleshoot issues and perform routine maintenance.
Maintain safety standards.
Make own tools (example: chuck jaws or fixtures), specific to jobs.
Run Horizontal and/or VTL lathes.
Mentor other operators.
Consistently meet tight tolerances.
Meet productivity requirements.
Communicate and counsel other operators in the department.
