The CNC Milling Machinist performs complex machine setups on 3, 4 and 5 axis machines, has G & M code knowledge, and is able to run and inspect parts with little to no supervision. 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:30pm-12am) receives a 20% shift differential. 3rd shift (Mon-Fri 10:30pm-7am) receives a 25% differential.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required
2+ years of CNC machine operation
G & M code fluency
Strong verbal communication and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to deal with complexity
Capable of working in a customer-focused, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude
Interested in learning with, and from, engineering and programming team to improve operations

Nice To Haves

post-secondary CNC education preferred
Okuma control knowledge a plus

Responsibilities

Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently
Operate machines to produce production runs of parts
Able to read operation sheets and blueprints
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, supervisor, and other staff
