About The Position

Stewart Tubular is a premier supplier of premium down-hole tubular accessories in the oil and gas industry. The company believes that each employee contributes directly to its growth and success. This CNC Machinist position involves working in a job shop environment, where the individual will be responsible for safely machining quality parts, adhering to all job traveler requirements to meet delivery deadlines, and providing the best quality experience to customers.

Requirements

• Proficiency in operating a CNC lathe
• Previous experience with premium threading
• Understanding of health, safety and quality control
• Excellent communication skills while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work shift 6am-6pm
• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 year's experience threading premium connections in production or a job shop setting
• Capable of lifting at least 25 lbs.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

• Experience with TenarisHydril connections

Responsibilities

• Machine parts that conform to requirements
• Perform machine set-up by ensuring proper tooling and programs are used
• Set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed and depth/angle of cut
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunction or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust machine controls as required
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Maintain traceability on all parts
• Other duties as assigned
