About The Position

Air-Lake Machine & Manufacturing is a precision job shop specializing in low-volume, high-mix custom machining. This means you won't be running the same part day after day. You will be responsible for setting up and running a variety of jobs, including repairs, new builds, and close-tolerance work, across a full Haas CNC lineup. This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys owning a job from the first cut to the finished part.

Requirements

• 3+ years of CNC machining experience (setup and operation).
• Haas experience strongly preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Your own tools.
• A team-first attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with both milling and turning.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and running a variety of jobs, including repairs, new builds, and close-tolerance work.
• Operating Haas VF2, VF3 (SSYT 40-taper), VF3 YT, and VF6 (50-taper) vertical mills.
• Operating Haas ST30 turning centers (chuck and collet chuck with live tooling).
• Using GibbsCAM for programming.
• Reading blueprints.
• Setting up own jobs.
• Selecting tooling.
• Holding tight tolerances.
