About The Position

Anderson Express is seeking a skilled and dependable CNC Machinist for their 3rd Shift operations in Muskegon, MI. This is a hands-on role focused on producing high-quality parts for complex, customer-engineered programs serving the automotive, military, and power generation markets. The position involves performing machine changeovers, managing tool offsets and replacements, operating CNC machines, inspecting parts, and supporting operators to ensure efficient production and minimize downtime. Anderson Express is a growing, women-owned Tier 1 supplier known for its precision and problem-solving capabilities.

Requirements

2–3 years of CNC Operator experience preferred.
High School Diploma or GED.
Must be able to work in a shop setting.
Good math and analytical skills.
Ability to count accurately.
Good verbal communication and people skills.
Ability to understand technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (“Green Card”).

Responsibilities

Perform changeovers to new jobs as needed.
Touch off tools and change tool offsets to ensure quality parts.
Inspect and replace damaged tooling.
Load programs for parts to be run.
Properly load and unload parts into CNC machines.
Check parts using various types of metrology equipment, including calipers, micrometers, pin gages, thread gages, ring gages, refractometer, scales, CMM, etc.
Qualify good and bad parts and sort accordingly.
Understand technical drawings, metrology, and GD&T.
Train operators as needed.
Maintain a positive working relationship with CNC Operators and Assembly personnel.
Help reduce downtime and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the workforce.
Clock in and out of jobs and log time correctly.
Accurately count good and bad parts and log information accurately and timely into ERP.
Perform other duties as assigned.
