JD Machine is hiring an experienced CNC Machinist for our weekend shift. This position is ideal for a skilled machinist who can confidently set up and produce close-tolerance parts while enjoying a consistent three-day workweek. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment in a bright, clean, modern facility, and your work will support critical industries such as aerospace, defense, communications, mining, and more. Requirements
- At least two years of experience setting up CNC machines and producing close-tolerance parts
- Strong understanding of mechanical inspection techniques
- Working knowledge of GD&T
- Experience machining a variety of materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines for the production of close-tolerance components
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and GD&T requirements
- Inspect completed parts using appropriate precision measuring equipment
- Make fixture, tooling, and process adjustments to maintain quality
- Work with a variety of materials and part configurations
- Identify and troubleshoot machining or quality issues
- Maintain accurate production and inspection documentation
- Collaborate with team members to meet safety, quality, and production goals
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
