The CNC Machinist will be responsible for preparing and loading raw materials, checking and changing parts on fixtures, and overseeing machines during operation. This role requires the ability to perform various CNC machining operations on mill and lathe, utilize precision measuring devices, and make tool offset changes to meet part tolerances. The machinist will also support equipment such as Bridgeport mills, manual lathes, and grinders, and have a general understanding of CAD/CAM systems. They will use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions and tolerance levels, update and follow setup sheets, and set up mill attachments like 4th and 5th axis. Mathematical calculations related to machining parameters and programming simple parts are also key responsibilities. The role involves working with and mentoring operators, and performing other duties as required.
