About The Position

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a CNC Machinist for their 2nd shift in Tulsa, OK. This role involves operating CNC mills, lathes, and saws to produce high-quality metal components. The position requires a strong understanding of machining techniques, blueprint reading, and quality control. The machinist will work both independently and collaboratively to meet production demands while adhering to company procedures and industry best practices. Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Strong understanding of shop math and machining principles.
  • Ability to deburr and finish parts to meet quality standards.
  • Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • Proficiency in CNC Tooling
  • Proficiency in CNC Programming
  • Proficiency in CNC Machine Setup & Changeover

Nice To Haves

  • Technical school certification in machining or a related field.
  • Basic CNC programming experience (not required but a plus).
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC mills, lathes, and saws to manufacture metal components according to precise specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders to determine machining processes.
  • Set up, adjust, and operate machinery with minimal supervision to ensure production efficiency.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to verify product accuracy.
  • Maintain production records and complete necessary documentation, including shop travelers and inspection reports.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.
  • Ensure adherence to workplace safety policies and procedures.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized while following 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
