About The Position

A premier, high-tech machine shop in the Akron, Ohio area is seeking experienced CNC Operators for their 1st and 3rd shift teams. This role focuses on high-performance machining for the aerospace and automotive industries, utilizing advanced 4-axis and 5-axis equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience in a high-volume production environment.
Proven hands-on experience with 4-axis or 5-axis VMC/HMC machining centers.
Proficient in the use of standard measuring and gauging equipment.
Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience machining High-Performance Automotive or Aircraft engine parts is highly preferred.
Experience with Fanuc Pro 3 or Pro 5 controllers is a significant plus.

Responsibilities

Efficiently operate multiple CNC machines (including Makino A81 and DMG centers) to meet daily productivity and workflow goals.
Assist with machine setups, fixture changes, tool offsets, and program adjustments.
Prepare castings and install components for machining.
Perform detailed quality inspections using precision measuring and gauging equipment to ensure all parts meet or exceed strict tolerances.
Perform scheduled PMs (Preventative Maintenance), monitor tool inventory, and conduct basic machine troubleshooting to ensure maximum uptime.
Deburr, wash, and pressure test parts as required.
Accurately report labor, productivity, and key performance indicators (KPIs) via internal systems.
Support the development of Level 1 Operators by identifying training needs and providing on-the-job coaching.
