Requirements

Good working knowledge of metal cutting feeds and speeds, threading terminology and calculating angles for setting sine bars
Able to work from blueprints, sketches and/or verbal descriptions for planning operational sequences
Good working knowledge of standard shop mathematics
Understand grinding principles and procedures
High school diploma, desired
Two (2) years experience in vocational training or machine shop

Responsibilities

Follow direction from the General Manager of the PBU or his designee
Help support and maintain all 6S standards in your immediate work area and others as needed
Construct auxiliary equipment ranging in complexity from "simple to intermediate"
Make sure all safety equipment and safety regulations are adhered to when operating machinery
Perform other job-related duties as directed
Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor
Adhere to all Environmental, Health & Safety rules
Follow instructions and guidelines
Work with close tolerances related to drilling, boring, reaming and milling
Maintain a 40-hour workweek and ability to work overtime as needed
Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18801 certification requirements
