About The Position
A&K Railroad Materials Inc. is seeking a self-motivated CNC Machinist for its expanding team. This fast-paced, hands-on role involves setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC machines to manufacture high-quality railroad track materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and G-code, and confidence in problem-solving. This position utilizes 3 and 5-axis CNC machines and requires maintaining high production standards. The role is for the 3 PM to 11 PM shift, Monday to Friday.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce rail components with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and machine specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect finished products, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
- Utilize manual tools and equipment as needed to support production.
