About The Position

Under minimal direction of a supervisor, this role is responsible for producing quality parts on CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines. The position involves loading parts, proving tapes, operating controls, setting offsets, performing advanced edits, deburring, and inspecting parts for conformance to requirements. The CNC Machinist will study and interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions, tolerances, sequence of operations, and setup requirements. They will measure and mark dimensions and reference points on material or workpieces. This role requires detecting equipment malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and making necessary adjustments, as well as reporting all machine malfunctions to the supervisor. The position also involves operating a forklift and lifting devices for part movement, assisting in solving complex plant operating problems and cost reduction projects, and training other employees. Communication with supervisors, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel is essential for assignments and resolving issues. The CNC Machinist is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly work area and performing basic preventative maintenance on equipment. Adherence to state and federal law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, and Safety and Environmental Regulations is required. Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor.

Responsibilities
