About The Position
JPW Structural Contracting in Syracuse, NY is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. This position involves producing machined structural steel parts based on blueprints. The role requires planning machining operations, maintaining safe work practices, and ensuring equipment is well-maintained through preventative maintenance and timely repairs. The position is located at their 100,000 sq.ft. AISC Certified Fabrication facility.
Requirements
- 3+ years in related field or recent trades school graduate preferred
- Experience with CNC operation a plus but not required
Responsibilities
- Produce machined structural steel parts through manual machining based off blue prints.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, and machining parameters.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, trouble shooting, calling for repairs.
