The CNC Machinist follows manufacturing methods to perform normal job tasks in a safe manner under the direction of the supervisor, group leader, or experienced associates. This role involves general cleanup to maintain a clean and organized work area, setting up and operating mechanical equipment up to 3 axes CNC equipment, and verifying CNC program integrity before operation. The machinist will measure and install tools, perform self-inspections of machined parts, and work from blueprints and process control documents. Key responsibilities include ensuring the quality of produced parts, managing related documentation, and working within close tolerances. The role also requires adherence to company compliance requirements and contributing to the quality management system. The CNC Machinist is expected to follow LUFKIN production, safety, and quality procedures.
