About The Position

Afinitas is part of BW Forsyth Partners, LLC, the investment group of global manufacturing and engineering consulting firm Barry-Wehmiller. Afinitas is hiring for a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist, who will be working for the leading manufacturer of robotic concrete pipe machinery and form equipment. The work schedule is Monday-Thursday with 10-hour shifts.
Requirements
- 2 Year CNC machinist degree and/or previous work experience as a machinist.
- Set-up and operate one of the following machines: (Okuma Mill/Okuma VTM)
- Read and interpret prints without supervision and/or direction.
- Experience with Master Cam program.
- Experience with SolidWorks program.
Responsibilities
- Programming, setting up, and operating OKUMA CNC Machine Centers.
- Operate both overhead and jib style cranes.
- Operating fork trucks and other power equipment.
- Ability to operate all machines in a safe and productive manner.
- Inspection of finished parts using precision measuring tools (ex. Calipers, micrometers,)
- Performing required preventative maintenance.
- Collaborate with engineers and team members to improve production efficiency
- All other duties assigned.
