About The Position

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC drills and machines. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, the ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and operate machinery such as overhead cranes and hot saws. The position may also involve occasional forklift operation and other assigned job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Must be a highly safety-oriented individual
• 2 years CNC Drill experience required
• 1 year of Manufacturing experience required
• Problem solving capabilities
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs., sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, etc.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to understand and use G codes and M codes preferred

Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating CNC drills and machines
• Wearing proper PPE at all times on shop floor and follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Reading prints for required specifications and dimensions
• Measuring parts using different measuring tools (tape measure, dial calipers, dial indicators, micrometers)
• Removing slag using grinders
• Operating overhead cranes on daily basis to load machines with parts
• Cutting supports to lengths needed using a hot saw
• Occasionally operating forklifts
• Performing other job responsibilities as assigned
