About The Position

MacLean Power Systems (MPS) is seeking Off-Shift CNC Machinists for full-time positions on the 2nd (2 pm to 10 pm) and 3rd (10 pm to 6 am) shifts. MPS values integrity, innovation, and a results-driven mindset, offering a transparent pay structure. The earning potential ranges from a base entry rate of $26.49 per hour up to $37.09 per hour, based on an internal skill-level evaluation. An additional shift differential of $1.25 per hour is provided for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Starting pay is determined by current skill level and experience in precision machining and CNC operations.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in CNC Machining or Tooling.
Knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, and metal properties.
Ability to use precision instruments like micrometers or vernier calipers.
Ability to work second shift, third shift, and overtime as necessary.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment assessment, physical, drug screen, and background check.
Must comply with organizational policies, including a smoke and tobacco-free property.

Responsibilities

Perform basic setup and operation of machine tools such as lathes and mills.
Monitor feed and speed, maintain machine tools in proper condition, and perform basic CNC maintenance like maintaining fluid levels.
Study blueprints and engineering drawings to determine sequences of operations.
Program CNC machine tools and diagnose malfunctions to determine necessary adjustments or repairs.
Evaluate machining procedures and recommend modifications for improved efficiency.
Design fixtures and tooling to meet special engineering needs and test experimental models.
