This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. We are seeking Machinists, Machine Operators, and Machine Programmers to support our New Glenn and Lunar spaceflight systems development. We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience operating heavy duty CNC machines.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with aerospace manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Basic digital literacy, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate forklifts and overhead crane.
  • Knowledge of machine programming using NX.
  • Technical/trade school training or industry certification.

Responsibilities

  • Operate machinery, milling and profile materials per engineering models, blueprints, CAD files, and specifications.
  • Set up and load materials accurately and securely using forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Maintain all consumables and support waste stream.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters; perform routine inspections and maintenance.
  • Measure and inspect finished parts for quality and specification compliance.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate equipment or process issues as needed.
  • Meet production schedules and document work activities accurately.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
  • Operate additional equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes.
  • Shift change handovers
