About The Position

Carlton Staffing is hiring a CNC Machinist for their Houston-area client. This is a temp-to-hire position for experienced, reliable, and hard-working individuals. The role involves operating and working with vertical mills and lathes, performing drilling and tapping operations, and setting up and operating machining equipment according to specifications. The machinist will also read and work with G-code programs, inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, and read and follow blueprints, drawings, and work instructions. Maintaining a clean and safe work area is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

• Previous machining experience required
• Experience with vertical mills, lathes, drilling, and tapping
• Working knowledge of G-code
• Ability to read blueprints and accurately measure parts
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
