Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts. Maintain safe, organized and clean work environment. Responsible for set up, inspection, first part buy, and other duties as assigned using a variety of 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis, multi-spindle and single-spindle CNC machines. Operate equipment such as CNC machines, milling machines, and end mills to produce manufactured parts primarily out of inconel and titanium. Take measurements to adequately ensure the accurate set-up, with the use of tools such as; gauges, calipers, indicators and micrometers. Maintains specifications by observing drilling and cutting; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Set up and trouble shoot machines for large complex parts. Able to manufacture fixturing. Approves part specifications utilizing hard layout methodologies. Expertise in CNC or Profile. Other duties as assigned.
