About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in machining processes, blueprint reading, and technical troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring high-quality output. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced equipment, including CNC lathes and milling machines, while contributing to innovative manufacturing solutions. Your mechanical knowledge and attention to detail will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code for efficient machine operation
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding GD&T standards for quality assurance
  • Experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes for complex or hard materials
  • Skilled in SolidWorks and CAD software for part design review and modifications
  • Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes including plastics injection molding when applicable
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste
  • Ability to operate forklifts safely for material handling within the production environment
  • Knowledge of welding techniques for assembly or repair tasks as needed
  • Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and process adjustments
  • Experience working with CNC milling machines and CNC lathes using Fanuc controls or equivalent systems

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machinery such as CNC lathes and milling machines, primarily using Fanuc controls or similar systems
  • Program CNC machines utilizing CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and CNC programming skills to produce complex parts
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to ensure precise manufacturing
  • Set up machines with appropriate tooling, tooling fixtures, and calibration tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM)
  • Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
  • Use precision measuring instruments such as dial indicators, height gauges, and digital calipers to verify part dimensions
  • Follow safety protocols diligently while handling hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other manufacturing tools
