About The Position

We are hiring multiple CNC Machinists across junior and mid-level skill bands to support our climate-controlled, high-mix, low-volume precision machining facility in Tulsa, OK. We are an industry-leading manufacturer building advanced, custom equipment for the construction and utilities industries. We operate a vast array of equipment—from 2-axis lathes to 5-axis vertical and horizontal mills, mill-turns, and more. Regardless of your industry background or the specific machines you have experience with, we have the team, training, and technology to support your growth. We are open to a wide variety of profiles; whether you are stepping right out of a trade school or bring 15 years of industry experience doing your own complex setups, we want to bring in the best talent available and will align your pay to your capabilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of real CNC machining experience, ideally including multi-axis machines
  • Proven ability to perform your own setups, tear-downs, and first-article inspections
  • Strong ability to read and act on complex blueprints and part tolerances
  • Comfort in a high-mix, precision environment with a track record of reliability and accountability
  • Self-driven attitude with the ability to respond quickly to changing demands and troubleshoot programming/operational issues on the fly
  • Basic exposure to CNC machining (mills or lathes) through a local tech school or initial industry experience
  • Ability to measure basic dimensions and willingness to learn advanced metrology tools
  • Absolute reliability, punctuality, and a willingness to take direction
  • Strong ownership mindset and a desire to grow into advanced setups

Responsibilities

  • Perform complete machine set-ups including: Loading fixtures and setting up/loading tools, Selecting and loading the correct machining programs, Setting work coordinates and tool offsets, Sizing in the first part using offsets and observed measurements (using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and indicators), Reading and interpreting complex drawings, symbols, and GD&T tolerances, Identifying and selecting the correct material for each job, Meeting assigned run times while holding strict specifications
  • Operate a CNC machine that is programmed and has dedicated set-ups and tooling
  • Measure basic dimensions using manual inspection tools
  • Meet assigned run times and maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Own your work center, maintaining high quality, and troubleshooting operational issues in real-time.
