As a CNC Machinist, you'll be the craftsperson behind precision manufacturing, transforming raw materials into functional masterpieces using state-of-the-art machinery, detailed blueprints, and advanced CNC programs.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of verified CNC Machinist experience
Exceptional blueprint reading skills, especially machining symbols
Deep understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes
Expert operation of Horizontal and Vertical CNC Mills and Lathes
G-code experience
Advanced knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories
Metal fabrication familiarity
Proficient with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and verification equipment
Oxygen/Propane heating experience
OSHA knowledge and commitment to safe practices
Strong analytical skills and creative thinking
Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Clear sight for precision work and good hearing for safety communications
Confident operation of lathes, grinders, mills, and similar machinery
Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs, work at heights up to 15 feet, and navigate production areas
Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces as needed

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred
Vocational training or hands-on experience with machining tools and techniques preferred
Ability to excel in MYER's comprehensive training programs
GibbsCAM proficiency is a huge advantage!
welding skills are a major bonus!

Responsibilities

Receive work instructions from our Machining Director and develop strategic operational plans
Configure machinery and materials for peak efficiency and safety
Execute complex machining operations to achieve exact dimensional and finish requirements
Continuously monitor and ensure your work exceeds quality standards
Perform daily inspections and maintenance to keep our machines running perfectly
Maintain exceptional safety standards and workspace organization
Collaborate on additional projects and maintain perfect attendance
