About The Position
As a CNC Machinist, you'll be the craftsperson behind precision manufacturing, transforming raw materials into functional masterpieces using state-of-the-art machinery, detailed blueprints, and advanced CNC programs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Vocational training or hands-on experience with machining tools and techniques preferred
- Ability to excel in MYER's comprehensive training programs
- Minimum 2 years of verified CNC Machinist experience - Show us what you've accomplished!
- Exceptional blueprint reading skills, especially machining symbols
- Deep understanding of subtractive manufacturing processes
- Expert operation of Horizontal and Vertical CNC Mills and Lathes
- G-code experience; GibbsCAM proficiency is a huge advantage!
- Advanced knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and accessories
- Metal fabrication familiarity; welding skills are a major bonus!
- Proficient with calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and verification equipment
- Oxygen/Propane heating experience
- OSHA knowledge and commitment to safe practices
- Strong analytical skills and creative thinking
- Thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Clear sight for precision work and good hearing for safety communications
- Confident operation of lathes, grinders, mills, and similar machinery
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50lbs, work at heights up to 15 feet, and navigate production areas
- Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, and working in confined spaces as needed

Responsibilities
- Receive work instructions from our Machining Director and develop strategic operational plans
- Configure machinery and materials for peak efficiency and safety
- Execute complex machining operations to achieve exact dimensional and finish requirements
- Continuously monitor and ensure your work exceeds quality standards
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance to keep our machines running perfectly
- Maintain exceptional safety standards and workspace organization
- Collaborate on additional projects and maintain perfect attendance
