About The Position

FieldBridge is looking for an experienced CNC/Manual Machinist to support machining, grinding, and runout correction operations at the Houston, TX facility. In this role, you will align large rotors, gas components, and parts within tight tolerances, program and operate CNC lathes, VTLs, and milling machines, and support both the Rotor Shop and Machine Shop based on customer needs. This is a precision-focused role ideal for a skilled machinist with a strong background in gas turbine component repair and advanced CNC and manual machine operation. Steel-toed boots required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3 or more years of related machining experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Advanced proficiency in CNC mill, CNC lathe, NC, manual mill, manual lathe, and manual VTL operations
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Ability to indicate parts, turn ODs and IDs, and perform grinding and burnishing operations
• Steel-toed boots required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

Nice To Haves

• Experience in gas turbine repair including HSPT, GE10s, Fr3, Fr5, Fr6, and Fr7 rotors and component machining a strong plus
• Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts for machining calculations

Responsibilities

• Align large rotors, gas components, and parts within tight tolerances for machining, grinding, and runout corrections
• Program CNC lathes, VTLs, and milling machines and calculate controls to regulate speed, feed, coolant flow, depth, and angle of cut
• Read and interpret OEM drawings, REIs, work instructions, and digital routers using knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
• Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust controls as required
• Support Rotor Shop and Machine Shop operations including steam rotors, gas rotors, cases, gas components, aero components, and value rack repairs
