About The Position

We are looking for a new member of our 1st shift team within a fast‑paced rapid response and prototype machining environment. A successful candidate will carefully note the preferred skills listed below. This is not a traditional production shop—our work is highly varied, technically challenging, and often supports next‑generation products for our customers. New hires typically complete 2–10 weeks of onboarding and training, with overtime opportunities available once training is complete and workload permits.

Requirements

  • Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers (ex. vertical/horizontal machining centers, lathes, jig bores, and/or trunnions)
  • Experience with manual inspection tools
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings
  • Experience with CNC programming
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience programming 5‑axis horizontal and trunnion machines using GibbsCAM and experience operating 5‑axis machines and using kellering techniques
  • Experience editing programs for Fanuc and Arumatik controls working with Kitamura and Mori Seiki machines
  • Experience machining stainless steel, titanium, and aluminum alloys.
  • Knowledge of hand deburr and advanced manual polishing techniques and familiarity with Renishaw probes and macros for setup/tool compensation
  • Experience interpreting CMM results using PC‑DMIS
  • Experience designing/building fixtures for hog-outs and castings
  • Strong practical understanding of GD&T in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

  • Produce precision, high‑complexity parts using advanced equipment including horizontal/vertical mills, lathes, trunnions, and jig bores
  • Work on varied projects—from critical production components to prototype development
  • Program CNC machines using GibbsCAM
  • Develop machining strategies and associated fixtures
  • Execute machining on 3‑, 4‑, and 5‑axis equipment
  • Verify completed parts meet engineering models and drawings
