About The Position

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to make molecules to decarbonize our world! Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. We are seeking a CNC Machinist to support our manufacturing and engineering teams. In this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of team members to manufacture precision components that advance our mission to decarbonize industrial processes through innovative hydrogen technology. This position is based onsite in Devens, MA and reports to the CNC Supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a CNC machinist with expertise operating both CNC lathes and mills
  • Demonstrated ability to independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC milling machines for complex precision parts
  • Strong proficiency using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, hard gauges, and height gauges
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret mechanical drawings and communicate drawing requirements to others when needed
  • Working knowledge of G-code and M-code with the ability to edit CNC programs
  • Experience monitoring machining equipment and recognizing maintenance or safety issues
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, push heavy carts or crates, and perform physical activities including reaching, kneeling, stretching, and crawling as required
  • Comfortable using computers for retrieving and recording production information

Responsibilities

  • Interpret dimensioned part drawings to determine the appropriate machine tools, workholding, cutting tools, and inspection equipment
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills, including making program offset edits and machine adjustments as needed
  • Perform complete machining operations from setup through production, including tooling setup, program proofing, part loading, and teardown
  • Inspect in-process and finished parts using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and hard gauges
  • Identify manufacturing bottlenecks and recurring production issues and recommend process improvements to increase shop efficiency
  • Monitor machine performance and identify maintenance or safety concerns before they impact production
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following established manufacturing procedures and quality standards
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to support continuous improvement initiatives
