CNC Machinist – Kansas City, KS (3PM to 11PM M-F)

A&K Railroad Materials Inc. is seeking a self-motivated CNC Machinist for a fast-paced, hands-on role in their expanding team. The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture high-quality railroad track materials, requiring attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and G-code, and confidence in problem-solving. The position involves working with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines to ensure precise execution of machining tasks and maintain high production standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce rail components with precision.
- Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and machine specifications to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect finished products, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
- Utilize manual tools and equipment as needed to support production.
