The CNC Machinist will set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines to manufacture high-quality railroad track materials, requiring attention to detail, the ability to read blueprints and G-code, and confidence in problem-solving. The position involves working with 3 and 5-axis CNC machines to ensure precise execution of machining tasks and maintain high production standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and comfortable working with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Familiarity with measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC machines to produce rail components with precision.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, G-code, and machine specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect finished products, troubleshoot issues, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Utilize manual tools and equipment as needed to support production.
